Begging the Question

Drinking and driving is a bad idea because it is not good to drive under the influence.

Ad Hominem

How would she know anything about football if she is a woman?

Equivocation

Brad: I am sleepy.

Brian: No, you are Brad.

Slippery Slope

If you let your four year old choose candy over fruit, then one day she is going to choose drugs over school and become addicted to meth.

Straw Man

Person 1: I voted for Bernie Sanders.

Person 2, a Trump supporter: I cannot believe you do not care about America.

Tu Quoque

I think killing animals is sad, but I love eating hamburgers.

Non-sequitur

I heard pitbulls attack little kids.

Someone owns a pitbull down the block.

The little kids in the neighborhood are going to get attacked.

False Dichotomy

Person 1: When was the last time you have done drugs?

Person 2: I have never done drugs?

Argument from Ignorance

You can’t prove that God is not real so he is real.

Red Herring

Person 1: That is a red herring fallacy. Why are you trying to divert my attention from the original topic?

Person 2: You know, a red herring is a pretty interesting fish.

Double Standard

It is okay for women to wear men’s clothing, but it is not okay for men to wear women’s clothing.

Selective Attention

Person 1: My day went absolutely horrible. Someone robbed me, but they left my Wolverine comic book in the backseat.

Person 2: YOU HAVE A WOLVERINE COMIC?
