Summer Thieu
Originally from San Jose, California, I currently reside in little Rancho Cordova with my long term partner and our two dogs. I spend most of my days at a Starbucks in South Davis as a manager, and on other days I am adventure-seeking, spiritually-awakened, busy bee me. I graduated from high school in June of 2018 when I decided to take a last minute gap year that drastically shaped my life. Throughout 2019, I experienced happiness like never before when I was swimming with dolphins in the middle of the ocean in Hawaii, when I was jumping out of a plane nine thousand feet in the air, and racing through the crowded streets of New York city. 2019 also brought me extreme sadness, as I explored the most vulnerable parts of myself, when I realized just how jaded I was because of my short-lived childhood. More and more I gained a deeper love and appreciation for all people and the similarities and differences we all have. Now a journalism major, I am in my second semester at Sacramento City College.
